Had a great Christmas at this hotel! The incredible view of the ocean was definitely the best aspect. We enjoyed watching the sunset from our room, and the view was just breathtaking. The location was also great as it was accessible to the beach, and we loved being able to go for walks and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Another advantage that we really enjoyed was the authentic and relaxed atmosphere of the hotel. It felt like a true getaway and provided a nice break from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

One of the things we didn't like about this hotel was the lack of power points in the room. We had to charge our devices in the main lounge, which was a bit inconvenient.

The view from the balcony of our room was absolutely stunning, with amazing sunsets and a peaceful atmosphere. Susanna and David, the hosts, were extremely welcoming and made us feel right at home. the room itself was very comfortable and clean, with all the necessary amenities. the lodge had a cozy common space filled with books, music, and art, adding to the overall charming atmosphere of the place.

There were no shops close by, so it was necessary to bring all our own supplies.

I always return to my favorite lodge in Hector. The staff is helpful, even finding a place to exchange money for me. It suits me perfectly with free Wi-Fi, a shared kitchen, and lots of activities like hiking, fishing, and board games. Great for my business trips!

Our stay at The Old Slaughterhouse Traveller's Lodge was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, the hosts David and Susanna made us feel welcome and were incredibly helpful. The location was stunning, with breathtaking views of the Pacific. The walk up to the lodge was a bit of an adventure, but it added to the charm of the place. The lodge itself was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved the attention to detail and the relaxed atmosphere. we highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience.
